Page Update: 01/30/09 12:35 am | Page Accessed: 1540 Time(s) 1. Female, 49 years old, Married and have a teen-aged daughter. I have gotten my family into Reptiles and Amphibinas also.
2. I have been into Herpetology and Herpetoculture for over 30 years. I have done and still do Educational Programs for Preschool through 12th grade in schools, colleges, Boy and Girl Scouts, etc.
3. In the past, I have worked at Pocono Snake and Animal Farm in Marshalls Creek, PA, and various pet stores.
4. I have kept many species of snakes and other herps in the past-both exotic and native. At this time-we have snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards-both exptic and native. (and gotten the required permits to keep several native species--see the 2007 laws please)
5. I have gotten into photography more in the last few years-pardon my old digital photos-I have gotten more serious and have a better camera to work with. I am currently replacing the older photos with new higher quality photos. Have patience that might take a while!
6. I have a college degree in case you want to know.
7. Other interests and hobbies include: music, art, Anime, gardening, hiking and biking, and wow-alot of other things.
8. About this site: it seemed to me that no comprehensive site exists about all of Pennsylvania's wild things-including plants, insects, herps, birds, mammals, fish etc. It is important to me that people come to know which things are living in here. With the influx of "city people" (in particular) a site like this might help them to understand and Idendtify the native wildlife and hopefully to respect it-since wildlife was here first!
This site is a work in progress. Once the photography is well into being finished-more information will be added about each species.
