I would like to pay a tribute to Sheldon Brown, the Doyen of cycling and cycle maintainance, who died recently. And my heartfelt sorrow to his family and friends. His encylopedic cycle maintainace website can be seen by loggin onto it on the left of the screen near the bottom. You can find just about anything you need to know about cycling on that site.We will miss him.

I have added two more links that should be of interest to cyclists. You will find them on the left of the page. Ken Kifer's Bike Page and Sheldon Brown's Cycling Page. Lots of info' to do with cycling on both pages. Just about all you will ever need to know.
I have added a new book to the "Cycle Touring" section on the right, for all you armchair explorers. A wonderful journey by a very courageus and tough Irish lady.
For those interested in cycling, and putting your bikes on trains, go to the bottom of the links in the left and click on "Cycling-1955" to see the difference in attitude now and then. Now you are lucky to get one bike on a train, then, they were making films promoting the use of the train for cyclists, and 30 bikes could easily by transported in a van at the rear of the train.
Oh for the good old days!
I have also added The Bike Show. this is a radioa programme by cyclist DJ Jack Thurston on 104.4 FM. But you can get it by clicking on the link and then listening to the lates. There is a plethora of material on cycling here, and lots of other links to got to.

I have added a new link on the left. Cycle Touring. And on the right of the desktop you will see "Cycle Touring" this will tell you how to start touring on a bike and gives you many books you can search out to help you, and just give you a good read.
I have just started back cycling. I have been off the bike for about two years, but have done a fair amount of cycle touring. I have done Lands End to John O'Groats, and Coast to Coast, and all the national parks in my time. Now reaching 70, I am happy to do the odd 30 miles on a weekend or 12-15 miles in the week days.
Any one have any good links to do with Cycle Touring, let me know, E mail me alan.herper@tesco.net with the link and I will add it to the links on the left.

Did a test on my new Webley Typhoon pistol. It is pretty powerful. It will go through 95 pages of a paperback book at 18 feet.
You will need the accessory to cock the barrel, as I found it impossible without the barrel extension. (See Photoe Gallery) Pleased with it.
More photoes of the last trip taken to East Wales recently. have been added to the Photoe Gallery.
One of my Flat Rock scorpions died for no apparent reason. Bit sick about that. Also one of my Cury Hair tarantulas died during a bad shed, Not a good week. One of my small Bothriurus scopions has been burried for weeks. She is fat, so I think she is gravid. I dug her out a few weeks back, but she has gun under again,so I shall leave her and hope for the best.
More airpistol photoes have been added to the photoe gallery.

Don't use the E mail on it though untill I alter it, use the one on this site.
I have added a couple of sites relating to another of my hobbies, Airgun target shooting. They are on the left of the screen. But I have lost the links to other sites and will have to start again unless I can retrieve it.
If you are interested in Airgun shooting, and would like to get hold of some American Airgun magazines, then go to the Link "Big Spring Guns" on the left, and Doug Law will send you 2-3 + postage of around $10.
These are great magazines, much better than the British ones, lots more information. I am still reading Airgun Digest which I had a year ago from him, it is around 282 pages.
And for free printable targets, go to the link "MY TARGETS." on the Links to the left.
I have added a reptile equipment supplier to the left links.
